EU on Cancer

Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan is a vital framework for OvaNet members because it establishes a political commitment to improving the quality of life for cancer survivors, which fundamentally includes the restoration of fertility through specialized techniques like OTC and OTT.

The plan’s flagship initiatives, such as "Helping Children with Cancer" and "Better life for cancer patients", provide a strategic alignment for OvaNet’s mission to support girls and young women, while offering potential funding and technical support through the EU4Health (2021-2027) programme. Furthermore, the plan’s drive to reduce healthcare inequalities via the Cancer Inequalities Registry mirrors OvaNet’s commitment to addressing disparities in reproductive healthcare access.

By staying informed about these EU priorities and research missions like Horizon Europe, we can better coordinate our clinical and research efforts within a broader framework that prioritizes the long-term well-being of cancer survivors.
